It is unfortunate that Ahmadabad superseding other Indian puranic villages entered into Unesco’s World Heritage List. Describing its historicity, Unesco says in very few lines that the history of the city starts from 15^th c A.D only with a Sultanate ‘base’; there are interesting places in Gujarat which are more wonderful in nature like Dvaraka, Rann of Kuccha,  and Somnath Temple. These three places stand witness to internal migration after the Great Deluge which has gone into Markandeya purana. Ancient Dvaraka, according to Pali texts, was the capital of Kamboj and it was only at a three league distance from Kamboj; it is a travesty of human history that Kamboj has been identified by colonial historians with Cambodia but its capital lies in India; again Kamboj is as same as Champa of ancient history; Indian puranas speak of hermitage of Sage Kasyapa lying at Champa. Kamboj is same as Cyprus and the latter is again the same as seat of worship of Kubera, to which the biblical scholars identify as Byzantium. While Dvaraka was a part of Uttara Kuru region of the ancient world, Kuccha was a place on the bank of the river Saraswati, and the river Indus.
