It was the site of a 11^th c Viking settlement, as Unesco observes;  the excavated remains found some similarities with dwellers in Norse Greenland and Ireland. And this is more important. As believed by scholars Vikings were the earliest Europeans in North America; it is a wrong conception. Rather etymology of the shore of Epaves Bay and Belle Isle should have been the base of scholars’ search for the history of the region.

Origin of the story of the Norse provides an insight into the historical past of the ancient migration that holds the key to the meaning hidden in the both the name of Viking and Anse. Norse has been derived from Nariso, one primordial king and Viking identifies the ancient Baku which was at the centre of many ancient stories.
