Name Eisleben finds its root in Sila of other ancient texts like Pali literature. Other name-forms like Isigila, sullam, and Alsisa exist to throw light on the geographical origin of this name that identifies ancient Israel, a group of followers of Rachel or Rahul; here –ben identifies bana, a secluded place away from home. Eisle-ben is divided into old and new towns like : Alt-stadt and Neu-stadt; it was the capital of the district of Mansfelde and is the seat of Verwaltung-sgemein-schaft(‘collective municipality’); this name was first mentioned in 997 A.D. as a market called Islebia. Witten-berg refers to Wutu or Ota as same as Ithica of classical literature linked with Ulysses, and Eisle or Alsiha stands for this name that identifies ancient Lata from which the name of Latin has been derived.
