Triumphal Arch of Orange heritage site of Unesco is situated in the Rhone Valley in Orange; the latter is a commune in the Vaucluse Department in the Province-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region near Avignon in France.
Scholars are of the opinion that the arch was built into the town’s walling to guard the northern entry points of the town. Also academic scholarship favours the view that it was built during reign of emperor Augustus(27 B.C.-A.D.14) in the honour of the heroes in the Gallic Wars and the Legio II Augustus. Some other scholars find it reconstructed by emperor Tiberius in A.D. 27 to celebrate the victories of Germanicus over the German tribes in Rhineland.
Arch of Septimius Severus and the Arch of Constantine are two other historic monuments which are linked to emperor Severus and emperor Constantine. Though a compelling royal tradition seems to have been rooted in erecting such monument that speaks not only of the time of the victorious emperor who built this Arch Monument, but also it notifies a historic statement on the genealogy of the King and the Kingdom’s forgotten past through an inscribed note on the stone. The English translations of the Inscriptions on the Arch Monuments are not correctly restored that loudly marks the rich past of the Kingdom and its geographical partners. It does not speak of the Kings of the Romans but the inscribed note pays its geographical attention on the ‘Four Quarters’ of the ancient world which the migrant-royal houses have kept alive in their memory.
Orange marks the ancient Ranga which means the region of the ancient river Ganges; Severus means the Savara tribes and Septimius refers to Saptagrama or the ‘Seven Villages’(of the Periplus); some other writers mention it as Eight Villages. This accounting of a group of villages has an interesting geographical marking that includes the Arch region and Triveni; there is no geographical difference between Septimius, Tiberius( origin in ‘Triveni’) and Ranga. All are a part of the Seven Villages. Augusts(Res Gestae Divi AUGUSTI) refers exactly to Sage Agasti of Indian puranas; what the history of the ancient Rome says that never happened on the soil of the present Rome. The history reads the past of the migrants from the ancient world whose King was the King of the Four Quarters and was called the Golden King.
Meaning of ‘Arch’ has been mostly misunderstood by historians as well as by biblical scholarship. Arch is as same as ‘arka’ means the ‘sun’ that marks the City of Sun identifying the ancient Arab( root is in ‘rabi’ means ‘sun’). It focuses the part of the ‘arc’ like region that receives the ‘first rays’ of the ‘Sun’ at a particular part of the world(means ‘Canaan’ of the Bible) at the ‘junction of the seas’. The Crescent Moon or the ‘first-moon’ or the moon of the bright-half also identifies the Fertile Crescent of the Bible(City of Moon) ; shape of the first-moon; presents an arc-like shape. This Arc/arch is a geographical definition of the region of Triveni and the Sri/Sheez/Seir/Cyr/sur/Sir/ etc; meaning of biblical arch which scholars think as a piece of ‘wood’ sometimes identify the ‘sur-wood’ and this region helped/helps the leprosy patients to get cured. Deborah and Moses came to Canaan because Deborah was a leper. Message of the Bible identifies this ‘arka-kshetra’ or the ‘City of Sun’.
