Unesco says that ‘evolution of Paris and its history can be seen through the River Seine’.
The city of Paris is built along a bend in the River Seine, between the confluence of the Marne and the Oise Rivers. The heritage site is built on the course of the Seine between the Pont de Sully and the Pont d’Iéna and the Ile de la Cité and the Ile St Louis.
According to Unesco, ‘A large number of major monuments of the French capital are built alongside the river and on the perspectives overlooking it. The Cathedral of Notre-Dame and the Sainte Chapelle are architectural masterpieces of the Middle Ages; the Pont Neuf illustrates the spirit of French Renaissance; the coherence of the districts of the Marais and the Ile-Saint-Louis testify to Parisian town planning of the 17th and 18th centuries; finally, the banks of the river comprise the most masterful constructions of French classicism, with the Palais de Louvre, the Invalides, the Ecole Militaire and the Monnaie (the Mint).
…..The completion and consolidation of the riverside, urban and monumental vistas of Paris date from the first half of the 20th century, with the Palais de Tokyo and the Palais de Chaillot…’.
River Seine refers to the Son or Suna river, the ‘gold carrying river’(hiranya-vaha) of ancient history; river Son or Sona or Suna means ‘gold’; it joined the united stream of the rivers the Ganges and the river Soraboas. It is Sonos of Arrian; some writers think it as same as Koa. But this is wrong. Seine is Sworna of the Avestan literature . This river is connected with the geographical situation of Madhyadesha(Middle Country or the centre of the earth) as well as with Mt Vindhya(connected with the history of the ‘south’ or Dakshina as same as Negev). Ancient writers also called it as Erannoboas. The river identifies the Kingdom of Kosala( same as Cos/Kos).

The Petite Seinez(Small Seine) from the sources to Montereau-Fault-Yonne—Petite Seine refers to the Peito tree or the Bo-Tree region on its bank.
The Haute Seine(Upper Seine)—Haute Seine means the Hittite region covered by this river Seine
The Traversee de Paris(the Paris waterway)—This means the Trase-See region of the Phrasii people coming residing on the bank of the river Seine or the Son.

The Seine Maritime—-This name marks the Goddess Maritime(ritum/Artemis) or Ma Magne whose temple stands on the bank of this river.
In order to identify the ancient origin of the river Seine , name Sequana requires to be understood properly. Sequana refers to the ‘bird’ Saguna(also Sakuni) means the ‘Vulture’; this bird is identified with the King of Death or Jama, the God of Jerusalem. In order to get salvation, and in order to get cured from diseases, people offer this bird various things. Fontes Sequanae does not mean ‘The Spring of Sequani’; rather it refers to the ancient Jerusalem. Valley of Chatillon means Valley of ancient Chitra, and Ex-voti exactly refers to Ikshu-vati or Ek-batana of history.
River Marne—Meru/MAruna

Eight Inscriptions found in the Seine region should be read through either with Odiya scripts or with Sanskrit or Pali to get the correct geographical restorations of the ancient migrants settled on the bank of the Seine in Paris.
