This term ‘Antikythera Mechanism’ is a wrong term; Ankita is name of a place, and it is as same as Antaka of the Pali which means ‘Mara’ or ‘the evil force’;  Thera means ‘Monk’; so Ankita Thera means the ‘Monk from the village Ankita’. it is not a device as scholars think that was used to calculate the movement of the sun, moon and planets, and to predict eclipse and equinoxes The bronze disc, which measures about three inches in diameter, and has four metal arms, and holes for pins, and bears an image of a bull does not, as scholars think, predict the location of the zodiac constellation of Taurus. Rather it is Dharmic symbol of the monk that shows the ‘Four Noble Paths’ of the Dhamma whose symbol is the Bull or the Buddhist faith
