Mt Meru, speaks of its position at the centre of the earth in ‘ancient India’. It is at the centre of Ptolemy’s peripheral map of the ‘inhabited world’ whose ‘Greek name’ is Himalaya. This mountain is not represented by the present Himalaya at the north of India. Mt Meru which shared the same geographical descriptions with the river Ganges’s five mouths has disappeared completely.

Biblical description on the volcanic site of the ancient world finds it on the southern sea coast near the Sun Temple at Konark.  It is dead, now. Due to climatic changes, ancient desert lands and the ice–clad mountains have now turned into greens. (Words;108)
