Archaeologist Maciej Grzelczyk of Jagiellonian University, has found hundreds of ancient rock paintings spread out over more than 50 locations in Tanzania’s Swaga Swaga Game Reserve which resemble those at Kondoa, a nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to the images of animals, there are also meteors or comets and the images may be baobab trees. According to the local beliefs, baobabs played an important role in the creation of mankind.
This Baobab tree refers to Bo, same as Po-tree to which Chinese pilgrims call Pei-to Tree, or the Wisdom Tree, sitting under which Bodhisattva became the Buddha, the Enlightened One.
All ancient texts have repeatedly pointed out to worship this tree, and the site of its worship has been recognised as Po Valley , same as Bo Valley( ‘p’ should be pronounced as ‘b’).
