The deified region of Bethany holds the places which uniquely anc collectively explain the ‘origin of Gods’ of Ogdoad, and puts ‘place of origin of Gods’ in and around Jerusalem.
Peithan, son of Agenor, who fought against the Malloi and the Mousikanos was Satrap of the Sindh.
The Mousikanos, according to scholars, were identified as ‘rats’; but they were ‘powerful’ and ‘rich’. These Mousikanos were, in reality, the Baals to whom only Indian puranic tradition consider as ‘one-fingered-height’ deities of the ancient world. Homer says that the ‘pygmies’ died during the war of Troy. Indian puranas call them Balakhilya yogis, and simply, the Baals of the Bible who were then staying to wards the ‘east’ of Bethnay near Galilee. Ptolemy marks the river Balikhiya as a branch river of the Euphrates. Name of Balikhiya very significantly pinpoints the ancient settlements of Balikhiya yogis on the bank of the river Balikhiya. In the list of Ex(6:16-23), Libni, Hebron, Mahli, and Mushi are all listed together as sons of Gershon, Kohath, and merari, respectively. Mushi perhaps represent Mousikanos here, not as pygmies, but as inahbitantas of the land of Baal.
Name of ‘Baal’ means ‘bala’, or ‘child’ ; the sun on the hosizon at the time of its rising is also called as ‘Bala-surya’ means the ‘child or baby-sun’. This is a geographical term that identifies a place near the City of Sun. The food offerd to the God Sun at this time of its rising is called ‘Bala-bhoga’. These are the terms which are associated with God ‘Baal’ and they identify ‘small’ or dwarf men to whom biblical scholars call Baal.
The etymology relating to the name ‘Bali’ refers to the region of king Bali, a king of the Underworld. Indian puranas are very clear on geographical situation and the kingdom of this King when it says that God Vishnu guards the kingdom of Kali.
‘Baloksha name occurs only in the 57th chapter of the Avadana Kalpalata : country of the “Balokshias”. It is called Balokshi in the Bodhisattvavadana—Kalpasutra. It is called Sata-dvipa or the island of Sata or Astola(Astula or Kali),Astola of the Bible, the Asthale of Ptolemy and Sutalishefalo of Hiouen Tsiang (Astulesvara), just opposite the port of Pasanee (Pashani, which is evidently the Pashan of Bodhisattvavadana-Kalpasutra. Sata-dvipa is the Karmine of Nearchus, which is the abode of Kali’.
In the epic the Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh coming out of the Mt Mesh saw the ‘scorpions’ or the Bacchus, to whom Alexander’s historians call the ‘Bracchman’, and some other historians identify them with the ‘Brahmans’ of the Indian puramic tradition who were experts both in writing and in war. And these so called ‘brahmins’ of the historians were the ‘Jews’, meaning the ‘Ishwaras’, or the ‘Gods’. Pali texts know them as ‘devas’ of the ‘lower world’, means the ‘Underworld’. Indian puranas know these God-like people with terms ‘Ha’, ‘Ha’, ‘Hi’, ‘Hi’ and ‘Hu’, ‘Hu’.
