Scholars are using their academic position to search for the Harappan Civilization sites in the so called Satlej-Yamuna interfluves against the geographical situation of the river Saraswat as mentioned in ancient texts. Scientists of Physical Research Laboratory(PRL), Ahmedabad, and CERN, France, jointly indicate that this river changed its course nearly 35,000 years before the Harappans came and settle there.

Geographical situation of the River Saraswati has been misunderstood by the academic world. This river is same as the River Kapila which identifies the hermitage of Sage Kapila. Ptolemy very clearly has shown this river in his maps. This river is flowing in the ancient Greece region which is identified with Siddhapura., the other name of Sage Kapila, who was born in the House of Sage Kardama, same as Cadmus of the Greeks. City of Kapilavastu was then situated on the bank of this river. It has various name-forms. During the time of the Buddha its name was Rohini. Homer’s epics mention this river as Styx. It was part of the Hellespont that constituted the meeting of seven rivers. Chinese pilgrims call it Kophes. Its relationship with the river Indus is very clear. The river continues to flow as before and has never changed its course. Scholars love to change its name. Its present name is Prachi Saraswati and it is flowing in the Puri district near the Sun Temple at Konark and Kakatpur.

Prof Vasant Shinde of Deccan College of Pune, and Prof Sanjeev Gupta of Imperial College of London, similarly carry a wrong conception on this river without referring to Ptolemy’s maps. Scholars find Ptolemy a liar who was born in the region whose maps he has drawn as he saw it. How can he be a liar?
