‘The Immortal Harappa’, an article by Sridhar Balasubramanian( the Hindu, 23rd Aug.2018), which reads ‘ancient citadels, dry well, and intriguing scripts….Dholavira is a magical ghost town mirroring a civilization that thrived here millennia ago’, is an imprint of the memorised textbooks which makes the ‘past’ to live in the ‘present’ far beyond the classrooms we have left long back.
The people and the guides of the town and the Great Rann of Kutch do not have any idea of this lost civilization, but the vehicle of history-making is pulled by the human memory, and by the ASI’s blue signboard there, that carries the mysterious ‘ten alphabets’
