Like Government of Egypt, Greek Ministry of Culture continues its attempt by excavation works to prove that the ancient House of Thrania of the Minoan period exists at Akrotiri site (Santorini) in modern Greece. The Ministry of Culture claims to have found 3,600 years-old artifacts here. Archaeologists say that the settlement was destroyed during a volcanic eruption in 1600 B.C.
