Miroslav Bárta of the Czech Institute of Egyptology at Charles University in Prague claims to have discovered a tomb complex, which he calls a ‘looted’ one; it falls in the region of the pyramid of Neferirkare (r. ca. 2446–2438 B.C) in Abusir. According to Miroslav, the tomb had been built for a priest whom he recognises as Kaires, who is identified with various royal appellations like, ‘the sole friend of the king’, ‘keeper of the secret of the Morning House’, ‘overseer of all king’s works’ and ‘foremost of the House of Life’; and here the Morning House’ is considered as the place where the pharaoh dressed and took breakfast.
Ancient Egypt is never represented by its present counterpart; the etymology of ‘pharaoh’ as kings of Egypt is yet to reveal its proper historic identity like the ‘Epharate’ of the Greeks.
Name of Neferirkares, or ‘Neferir-kares’ refers to the Kare of Naba who is identified with ‘City at the Centre of the Earth’; here ‘naba’ is same as ‘nabhi’ or ‘nebua’ etc. Ancient Egypt was a part of the Middle Country itself.
Kaires and Kare are not different from ‘Kuru’, again the same as ‘Cyrus’, the immediate deified neighbourly region of the Og or the ancient Egypt. Name of Kare does not refer to a ‘priest’ but to an unidentified royal individual of ‘cheiro’ or ‘che-ro’ that identifies the ‘Sea People’.
