Scholars see Praecones as a potentially dangerous ethnic group having ‘wider networking and brokering role’. The social elevation of the Praecones who served as magistrates within state institutions in 45 BCE also finds some of them as mint workers. Praecones has been translated as ‘criers’ ; this however does not indicate a perennial painful situation for them coming from a ruler of the country of their residence. But there were as recorded in history many people irrespective of their clans who were always ‘crying’ for salvation and voluntarily they were ending their lives by jumping into the river. Such scenes of self suicide were normally attached to the sites of worship, Salvation seekers were jumping into the river from the branch of this tree also. Praetorium which scholars mark as a place of Roman governor’s residence is wrong. It was the sacred place of the Pei-to Tree which marks the place of royal decrees and kings normally adopted a policy of pronouncing public punishment at a holy place of public gathering. Because punishment was seen as coming from God itself, meaning of Praetorium is attached to the sacred Tree not to the Roman ruler’s residence or camp from branch.
Praetorium Guards however identifies the group of people who were worshippers of this Tree. They were then holding three canes in their hands for preaching their sacred self identity in public. Paul was guarded by such a group of people. Prati-Haras or the Prati-Haris were regarded as ‘door-keeper’ because of their holy background of holding this cane which symbolises following the Triple-Path’ of the religion of their times.
