Dominica’s world heritage site relates itself the seat of worship at Piton as same as Bethany or Peithon; the meaning of the three names are like this :

Morne—marana means ‘to hit’ three times with Trois Piton;

Trois—traya/tini means ‘three’ canes in a bunch held by a priest at temple’s entrance;

Piton—beta means ‘cane’ ; this represents the goddess ‘Chinapati’ .

Volcano known as Morne Trois Piton identifies the goddess whose seat of worship was near the biblical volcano at Jerusalem.

This mountain region is also called Morne Watt Mountains which is very significant to locate the ancient homeland of the migrants through Wat-Sulla-Tunya Inscriptions; scholars see Denmark as derived from this Tunya. But in reality, its origin is either in Damahalaka(or Damagallaka), the residence of Thera Mahadeva or in Dumukkha, a Licchavi chief( a Roman); Pali sources also finds Dhammaka both as name of a mountain and also as name of a king
