Unesco identifies the town of Provins in the former territory of the Counts of Champagne. It has entered into world heritage list because of the urban structure of the town of Provins which has been built in the medieval period to host the fairs and related activities at international level.
Provins identifies itself with ‘pravina’ means ‘expert’ ; Champagne marks its historical identity with Champa and Anga of ancient history. It was the most famous trading centre of the ancient world. Provins thus is the settlement of most knowledgeable persons of the then society who were collected from different communities and were placed in one place. It was not a trading centre as suggested by Unesco scholarship. Rather it was a place where the King of Champgne placed all the wise people of his country at one place to take their advice at the time for conducting the business of the kingdom.
It is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Ile-de-France region; its fortification refers to the royal seat at Tyre or Troy of Cesar or Kesar Kings(Lion’s Kings) of Kosal Kingdom at Caesarea of ancient Rome.

The Saint Quiriace Collegiate Church is located here. Name Quiriace refers to the person who was in charge of collecting the ‘kara’ means ‘tax’; ‘quir’ means ‘tax’ and ‘-iaka’ means the person concerned.
Empress Galla Placidia is said to have presented Ancona with relics of Judas Cyriacus. Cyriacus is not the same person as Quiriace; it is important to see that Judas was situated in between Champagne and Jerusalem. While Galla means the community of Golas, Placidia refers to the place of Seven Stars of Uras Major or Saptarshi Mandala or the Great Bear. ‘Children of the Dome’ means the ‘People of the ancient region of the Dome’ where a person called Drona(of Dan community) constructed this Dome to put the relics of the Buddha. It was a place near the city of Bel. Ancona is as same as Arcona of ancient literature which was a part of the city of Sun on the seacoast.
