Modern scholarship puts this world heritage site of Maulbronn Complex to have been founded in 1147 A.D. And it is again linked to Cistrcian monastic culture.

Maulbronn—Mayur-bana means ‘the forest of Peacocks’. It can also identified with Maurya-bhumi(Rann) and Muray-rama; different name forms are found like : Malaba, Moab, Mewar, Moore, Moeris, Mayura, and Mura etc.

Ancient migrants from the ‘first- land’ reached German in such a good number and with such cultural and traditional diversity that it provides an enormous view of the ‘whole’ of the ancient world.
