Fagus Factory heritage site in Alfeld on the Leine river is a 10-building complex built around 1910; it stands in Lower Saxony in the district of Hilde-sheim and is a part of Hannover-Brunschweig-Gottinngen-Wolfsburg area.
Unesco says, ‘ The Fagus Factory in Alfeld illustrates a moment of considerable interchange between different generations of German, European and North American architects, which gave rise to a rational and modernist architecture….’
