This is an interesting world heritage site in Germany that identifies the ancient Ujjain or the biblical Uz or Oz. From Ur, Abraham came to Uruk via Uz and Buz. Ujjain was at the centre of ancient astronomical studies. And the Bible mentions how Abraham destroyed some of the idols of planets and gods on his way to Uruk or Arka att this. While Ur marks the ancient Uru-vela, Buz pinpoints the royal seat of Bhoj kingdom of Ujjain. Bavari;s disciples went to meet the Buddha through the road that passed through Ujjain. Ujjain was the capital of Avanti(or Av of the Bible). According to Pali literature, Ujjaya was name of a Pratyeka Buddha. Bhoja was also name of a country; the same source says that Bhojaka-giri was the name of a monastery in Kalinga.

Ancient astronomical texts mention that Ujjain, Mt Meru and Uttara Kuru stand in a ‘straight line’. Wurzburg Residence remembers the story of ancient Ujjain’s glory through typical presentation of astronomical scenes through its frescoes.

According to Unesco, ‘Wurzburg Residence was built under the patronage of two successive Prince-Bishops, Johann Philipp Franz and Friedrich Karl von Schönborn. The Residence was essentially constructed between 1720 and 1744…’

Würzburg Residence is located in Bavaria and this shows the royal identity of the migrants. Mainz similarly marks the royal house of Mauryas with which Mary’s clan identity is linked.
