The Historic Centre of Riga is a living monument showing place of origin of human civilization; it is completely wrong to see its history with European history only. It has preserved evidence of ancient migration from the ancient Ragha to Riga in Latvia through names of its different tribes and their 14 rulers.
This Baltic state, bordering Estonia on the north, Lithuania on the south, Russia on the east, and Belarus on the southeast, should be seen as the ancient Lata or Lata-haran from which name Latin has been derived; it identifies the birthplace of Ulysses. Its ethnic core is very wide, very rare, and thus holds the ancient world which needs to be understood properly.

It is not right to see, measure, and link the history of Latvia beyond 900 AD; ancient Baltic peoples arrived in Europe during this period only when the Great Flood happened.
Ice Age(14,000–12,000), Paleolithic Age(11,000–12,000), and Mesolithic Age(9000 – 5400 BC) concept for Latvia are imaginary concept of academic scholarship; the earliest tools found at Salaspils refers to the people from a place in this name; 25 settlements near lake Lubans refer to people of Laba or Labana or Labanga island. They were the Kundus or Korkundas of the ancient world. The early Neolithic(5400-4100 B.C) period does not relate Latvians as scholars think for their marked beginnings with pottery-making, animal husbandry and agriculture. Narva culture and Ugric people of the Middle Neolithic (4100 – 2900 BC) period identify themselves with ancient Naba and the Serpent or the Uraga region at the centre of the earth. Pit-Comb Ware culture of its inhabitants make them closer to the Pinikias or the Bhojas or the Buz people. Finns belong to the fan tribe; Corded Ware culture which refers to the beginning of the Late Neolithic (2900 – 1800 BC), according scholars, relates them with the Codas, same as Chedis, Cholas, Chhadeyas or the Cetes royal people of the ancient world.
Division of Latvians’ past through geological time frame of earth is a creation of scholars that divide their visible cultural background and put them into the imaginary net of Bronze Age(1500 B.C), Iron Age(500 BC – 1st cent. BC), and Middle Iron Age (400–800 AD). Araisi Lake dwelling site refers to Asi or Ash or Rayas region of the ancient world which was neighbourly to Lata. Varangians refers to ancient Varanga, a royal house site, and Scandinavia similarly marks the river Scamander of Homer’s epics. Kievan Ros pinpoints Ros in ancient Babylon where mostly Bhikshunis were residing. Trading in amber refers to a tree and a place in this name, and this becomes more important when a goddess in the name Amba is linked with it. Meaning of the ancient name of Latvia as Dzintarzeme is very revealing and its relation to Amberland finds it as the place of worship of the Goddess Amba or Omba, the Seat of the ‘Mothers’. Dzintarzeme or Dzintar-Zeme is neighbourly to Place of ‘Mothers’; Zeme identifies seat of worship of Jama, God of Death in Jerusalem.
Capital city Riga holds a very expansive past for its inhabitants through its multi-tribal ancient culture. It identifies the ancient Ragha of the Avesta or Ragha or Raghu of other texts; some scholars take Ragha same as Radha; others think it as same as Chinese Ho-lu-hu which was a country on the north border of the river Oxus(Fotsu, Vakshu) having geographical relationship with Hwoh and Mung-kin country. In reality, Ho-lu-lo or Ho-lu-hu were different countries; Ragha is also identified with Po-lo-lu-kia of Chinese. It marks the Raghu dynasty of Indian puranas. But it was a great ancient country owning a defined position in Indian epics.
