This heritage site of Unesco brilliantly enforces its ancient link with Homeric Peloponnese, the land that identifies Greek Ulysses, and Ithica. This is that site which dismisses the academic claim that modern Greece identifies the ancient Greece. Twyfelfontein is exactly the Peloponnese and its restoration as Ui-//aes marks the exact Ulysses. This shows how the ancient migrants reached this far off African land in Namibia through the sea routes that cannot be imagined today.
Peloponnese again is exactly the same as Pariplaba of Indian puranas and Periplus of the Erythraean Sea; Homeric epics marks this place along with Mt Parnasus which specifies its geographical situation along with Mt Darddura ; it identifies the country of Darada(linked to Troy or Toya, country of Dardanas). Epic the Mahabharata speaks of a river in the name of Parnasa and Arrian calls it Prinas. And there is no difference between ‘Barnasa’ and ‘Parnass’ and the latter shows its geographical relationship with the river Tamasa. A river flowing in the Darddura mountain range.
According to Ramayana, Paripatra or Pariyatra was situated on the western sea and this Paripatra also pinpoints the Periplus or the Peloponnese region.
Namibia identifies itself as the land of ancient Iberians at Nabikapur of ancient Indian history on the bank of the river Saraswati which was then flowing in the ancient Greek regions on the north of the ‘inhabited world’
All the rock engravings and rock paintings at this site are considered as work of San tribe people ‘who lived in the region long before the influx of Damara herders’; and Unesco’s scholarship says that ‘the rock art engravings and paintings in Twyfelfontein form a coherent, extensive and high quality record of ritual practices….in this part of southern Africa over at least two millennia’….that ‘reflects links between ritual and economic practices in the apparent sacred association of the land adjacent to an aquifer …of its role in nurturing hunter-gather communities over many millennia’.
The San tribe of the ancient world here identifies the On(of the Bible) and Anu tribe of Indian puranas who were Huns of ancient history and belonged to the Han dynasty. Damaras, similarly were the Doma or the Edomite people who were forced to leave their ‘first land’ due to volcanic eruptions and Great Ur -Flood.
