UNESCO in THAILAND (One) : Historic City of Ayutthaya

This city, according to Unesco, was founded in 1350 A.D; it was second capital of Siamese(formerly called) country after Sukhothai. Its remains are known to scholars as ‘prang’ whose means ‘reliquary towers’.
Its location is known by the name of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya; its large palace is known by names of Wat Mahathat and Wat Phra Sanpahet; styles of art and architecture points to Rattana-kosin Era. Why scholars think Ayodhaya in Thai as a mythical city is not known, but it certainly tells the story not related to the epic Ramayana but to the whole ‘inhabited world’.
Its surviving mural paintings in the crypt of Wat Ratchaburana are very interesting in nature.
Thailand is the only country in the world that finds in most its place-names a portrait of geographical names and terms of the ‘inhabited world’ that has gone into ancient geographers records.
Ayuttha identifies Aritthapur of Pali texts and it is as same as Erythra of the Periplus that marks the Erythraean Sea. Sukhothai marks the Sukhodhar or the Island of the Blest; Wat is again the same as Wu-to or Ota of the Chinese pilgrims that identifies Ottoman Empire as well as Wat-Selu-Tyna inscriptions of Kharavela of Megha-vahana dynasty; this gives a picture of the geographical relationship of all the places that stood then at the heart of the inhabited world identifying the places in the Indus-Saraswati-Scamander valley plains.
Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya; Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Sanpahet and Rattanakosin explain the ‘Phra’ and ‘Wat’ region that is exactly the ‘Bhrata khanda’ of other ancient literature. Wat also refers to Mt Ita oe Utkal of ancient history near Kushinagar or Cush of the Bible.
The two names Ayuttha and Ajodhya collectively describe the whole history of the mankind as Ayuttha or Arithapur is indicative of the ancient Thebes or Sivi of Pali literature. San-pahet pinpoints the Mt Sana, and Mahathat identifies Mahanaimof the Bible and Mahanama of both Pali and Indian puranas. The ancient city at Bangkok itself gives a pictorial view of the ancient world in a very realistic manner

I provide the ideas above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important factor might be working in honest good faith.
