History this site revokes is so wonderful and so surprising that a scholar cannot hold himself back from learning and knowing more on ‘Mata’; this is that site which keeps the memory and knowledge of life’s origin on earth safe and intact; the story of human’s appearance on earth corporate itself on dust and sands of this region.
Name Chief Roi Mata relates the meaning of the word ‘Mata’ with Vanuatu.whose origin is in ‘Bonita’, means ‘Daughter’, both in Hebrew and Odiya languages. While ‘Mata’ means ‘Mother’(‘Maa’ in Odiya language, and Mater in Greek). Chief Mata stands for ‘Sri Mata’, the Primordial ‘Mother’ and wife of Ahura Mazda or Indra(Sage Magha) that identifies Mt Imaos and Badarika as her ‘Home’.
Song of Songs of Solomon prays for the ‘Daughters’ who died in a volcanic eruption. Bonita also signifies the Daughters of Zion and the Comari Island(Of the Periplus and also of the Indian puranas) and the latter was their place of residence to which the bible calls Qumran, This site reflects the story of the ‘Mothers’, the ‘Daughters’ who were ‘Virgins’ (Sisters); Pali texts know them as Bhikshunis, and Bhaginis. The term ‘Yoginis’ is also related with these names and they collectively identify a primordial place.
In the language of Unesco on this heritage site also reflects the gravity of this place that shows ‘the interaction of people with their environment over time in respecting the tangible remains associated with Roi Mata and being guided by the spiritual and moral legacy of his( it should be ‘Her’) social reforms. It also reads that Roi Mata was ‘ a source of power evident through the landscape and as an inspiration for people negotiating their lives’ and the Primordial Mother marks a ‘systems of authority and customary respect’ which is’ evident in the continuing tabu prohibitions on these places’.
Here the term’ tabu’ again marks name of a place from which the name of Tibet has been originated; Roman history is largely associated with this name also.
